The Association for Image Processing, Poland (TPO) has funded the award for the best young scientist's presentation at the International Conference on Computer Vision and Graphics ICCVG-2006.
The winning paper will be selected by the body consisting of Programme Committee members and members of TPO Goverinig Board present at the Conference.
During the Conference, the result of the contest for the Best Ph.D. Thesis of the Year 2005 of the Association for Image Processing, Poland (TPO) will be announced, and the award will be handed over to its Laureate.
The contest is open to authors of Ph.D. theses defended at Polish scientific institutions, in the domains of widely understood communication between the computer and its ambience by means of images, and the applications of the information systems for processing, analysis and interpretation of images and scenes, object recognition, modelling, generation and visualisation of objects and scenes, perception and visual communication. The theses related to applied sciences are prefered.
